Product & digital system design

Experts have the insight.
We build the system that carries it.

Good Thinking Partners designs products and the digital systems underneath them — for professionals whose expertise is real, whose data is rich, and whose audience deserves better than a template.

Practice

Two things, done properly.

Most agencies sell screens. The screens are the easy part — what fails is the structure underneath, and nobody can see it until it does.

01

Product design

End-to-end product and interface work. Research, structure, interaction, the whole surface. Fifteen years of it across regulated health, pharma, and platforms where getting it wrong had consequences.

02

Digital system design

The part underneath. How your content, data and decisions are modelled, how they connect, and how they stay true as the thing grows. Design that survives its second year.

Recent work

Two systems, built end to end.

Both are expert practices with a real body of knowledge and a structure that a generic product would have flattened.

Method

We run every engagement on Braid.

Braid is our own product — a system that records what was decided, what it was checked against, and what shipped because of it. We built it because design work loses its reasoning somewhere between the brief and the build, and we were tired of watching that happen. Every client engagement runs on it.

Decisions are recorded

Every requirement carries who confirmed it and what it was verified against. Not a document that drifts — a record that holds.

Designs trace to reasons

Each screen links to the requirement it serves. You can follow any pixel back to the decision that caused it.

AI works inside the rails

We're AI-forward and unsentimental about it. Agents do real work here, inside a system that refuses fabricated evidence and requires a human to confirm.

Who we work with

People with something worth sharing, and data to back it.

The work lands best where genuine expertise meets a real body of information — and the current way of sharing it doesn't do it justice.

01

Practitioners with a body of work

Years of accumulated method, teaching or research, currently trapped in documents, courses and calls that don't scale.

02

Data-rich domains

Where the value is in structure and relationship, not volume — and a generic interface flattens exactly what makes it useful.

03

Audiences who deserve better

Customers, followers and fans who came for the expertise and currently meet a product that gets in the way of it.

Jamie Murphey

Founder and operator. Fifteen years of UX across Atlassian, Google, LinkedIn, Elsevier, and a run of health and pharmaceutical companies where a design mistake reached real people.

Fine arts degree, MBA, and a persistent interest in systems that actually function — which is how the agency, the product, and a working market garden all ended up on the same list.
